Overview of Services & Treatments

Tantric Healing Massage

A professional practice which includes therapeutic support for a range of physical and emotional issues around sex and intimacy. Sessions may also include authentic tantric education for increased wellbeing and enjoyment.

Common issues supported include premature ejaculation, vaginismus, erectile dysfunction, chronic health conditions and sexual trauma. Many practitioners have professional therapy training (for trauma work, make sure you work with someone who’s ‘trauma informed’).

Sessions for men may include therapeutic prostate and ‘lingam’ (penis) massage, and learning how to separate orgasm and ejaculation for prolonged pleasure and increased vitality. Sessions for women may include therapeutic ‘yoni’ (vaginal) massage and female ejaculation. Tantra is not gender specific, however, and everyone is welcome.

Qualified practitioners offer full consultation and abide by ethical practice, especially around consent and boundaries.

Ultimately, tantric massage is part of an ancient spiritual practice which focuses on opening the heart, bringing us into deeper connection with ourselves, our partners, and life as a whole.

Sensual Massage

Sensual massage is a purely pleasure-based experience which is also often referred to as naturist or erotic massage. It normally includes the whole body, and ends with massage of the sexual organs. It’s a relaxing experience that allows sexual release in a comfortable and safe environment. It can also be great for managing stress.

Masseurs and masseuses offer different types of massage, including Swedish, Deep Tissue or Lomi Lomi, and will indicate this in their listing. They may also offer body-to-body massage and mutual touch.

Sensual massage for men usually ends with ejaculation (commonly termed “hand relief” or “happy ending”). By definition it doesn’t include oral or penetrative sex.

You can book an appointment directly through this Directory. Please select practitioners who are listed under Sensual massage, rather than Tantric Healing Massage (which focuses on therapeutic and educational outcomes).

Sexological Bodywork

Sexological bodywork, also known as Somatic Sex Education, is a certified sex-positive professional practice which was founded in California in 2003.  ‘Somatic’ means experiential learning through our body, rather than through talking therapy.

Somatic experiences offered as part of Sexological Bodywork can include breathwork, erotic massage, pelvic release bodywork, boundary-setting, sensory exploration, erotic trance and other body-based learning about sexuality.

Practitioners are professionally certified to offer genital touch for education, healing and pleasure. They commonly support sexual challenges such as premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia (difficulty to experience orgasm), in addition to couples’ work, gender identity, and increasing capacity to give and receive pleasure through erotic education.

Many Sexological Bodyworkers integrate other professional training and perspectives into their practice. However, they are all required to join the Association of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers, and abide by the organisation’s Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.

Sex & Intimacy Coaching

Sex and Intimacy Coaches are trained professionals who offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore sexual challenges, relationship issues, and expand sexual expression. There are two main approaches – experiential (body-based) and talk-based coaching.

Coaches support clients with a range of goals, including increasing sexual confidence, communication and expertise, or learning about power exchange and polyamory.

Talk-based coaches offer sessions in person, or via video call. Clients bring a particular goal or challenge, and then create an action plan together with the coach. Coaching includes emotional support, and clients are given practical homework as part of the plan.

Experiential coaching offers a more interactive approach. Humans are social animals who often learn best through modelling and direct experience. Clients are guided through practical exercises, including mutual touch as part of their coaching plan.

Coaching is different from Sex Therapy, which uses a more clinical-based approach.
